Trigger warnings: transphobia, depression, death

After Brianna 2023

I am breaking governments in my sleep.
I am gluing once beloved authors to their screens and
writing invoices to their solicitors. I am huge. I am
everything that everyone wants to talk about all of the time.
I am in mourning. I am afraid that I will always be
in mourning. I am selfish. I want the world to break
just for me. I want the world to end just for me. I cry
revolution in the streets and I am afraid to walk outside. So,

what can I do but lay on my lover’s floor,
listening to Lift Yr. Skinny Fists and hope
that I don’t die?
