‘Seeking Something Loved Or Best Offer’ by Danny McLaren

Seeking Something Loved Or Best Offer
A Facebook Marketplace Cento

give me soft, plush fabric
with some piling from years of snuggles.
pre-loved, full of character,
somewhat broken but everything else is fine in condition.

give me unique, fun, nostalgic,
a pickup on the porch, come by whenever.
vibrant colour, adds a cozy touch,
comes together do not break-up.

I want nothing mint condition
without scratches or other damages.
not always kept in an acid-free box,
always treated as collectibles,
never displayed, never played with.
stored in a clean, dark place.

I’m seeking more.
to hold what you’ve held,
press soft fabric to my cheek and feel your breath
along with it. from your hands to mine
and on and on and on.
