“I’ve been struggling to figure out what my gender ‘looks like’—how I’d like to transition and present myself. The great and difficult thing about gender is that it’s unique to you. My autism makes it a struggle to wrap my head around subjective concepts like this. But I’ve been working on my understanding of my gender identity, and this piece is a representation of my current vision of my gender.”
