like a kitten in a storm

‘Guttercandy’ is an ekphrastic poem, responding to the song ‘What am I gonna do with you’ from Rebecca Black’s 2023 album Let Her Burn.

Ori Diskett (he/she) is a writer, editor, sex worker, and law student. He writes and works in Meanjin/Brisbane on the unceded sovereign lands of the Jagera and Turrbul people.
